MCP / Agents

Connect AI agents to your property data using the Model Context Protocol

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI agents to external data. Instead of building custom integrations for each AI tool, MCP provides a single connection point.

Once connected, your AI agent can read your property data, pull financial reports, send tenant messages, and more — all through conversation.

Works with your agent

Connect any MCP-compatible agent or automation tool — one server, every workflow.

What can your agent do?

Ask in plain English. Your agent calls the right MCP tool — here are examples across all 10 domains.

Properties & Units

Show me all my properties and vacancy rates

Lists properties and computes occupancy.

Tenants

Who hasn't paid rent this month?

Pulls tenants and filters by overdue balance.

Leases

Which leases expire in the next 90 days?

Filters active leases by end date.

Financial

Generate a cash flow report for Q2

Builds a cash-flow summary for the period.

Maintenance

List all open maintenance requests, sorted by age

Returns open requests, oldest first.

Messages

Send a payment reminder to all tenants with overdue balances

Sends a message to each overdue tenant.

Calendar

What events are coming up this week?

Lists scheduled charges, deadlines, and events.

Workflows

What's the status of my lease renewal workflow?

Reports workflow step progress.

Webhooks

Notify my Slack channel whenever a maintenance request is created

Subscribes a webhook to the maintenance_request.created event.

Bring Your Own Model

No lock-in. No extra charges. Use the agent you already pay for.

Switch anytime

Claude today, GPT tomorrow, a local model next year. The MCP standard works with all of them — your data and workflows stay the same.

No extra AI charges

You pay your AI provider directly — we never charge extra for connecting your own agent.

Your data, your model

Your property data goes to the model you choose — not through an embedded AI layer you can't audit or control.

Platforms like Buildium embed their own AI and charge for it in higher tiers. We stay out of the AI business — you bring the intelligence, we provide the deterministic, auditable system of record.

Quick Setup

Two steps to connect your AI agent:

1

Create an API Token

Generate a token to authenticate your AI agent:

Manage existing tokens in Settings →

2

Add the MCP Server

Paste this configuration into your AI agent. Replace YOUR_TOKEN_HERE with the token from step 1.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "landlord-app": {
      "url": "https://landlord-edge-staging.landlord-app.workers.dev/api/mcp/",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN_HERE"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your agent discovers available tools automatically. Just ask in plain language — R "What's my vacancy rate?", R "Show overdue balances", or W "Send a message to the tenant in unit 3B."

Security & Transparency

Scoped tokens

Each API token is scoped to your account only. No cross-tenant access.

Instant revocation

Revoke any token from Settings → API Tokens. Takes effect immediately.

Same security layer

MCP requests go through the same authentication, validation, and rate limiting as the web portal.

No AI on our side

Our MCP server is deterministic software — it reads and writes your data as instructed. The AI runs entirely in your agent.
